I'll list my specs below, but I'm wondering what I should do to set up a triple monitor? I might purchase another graphics card if I have to, but I'd rather not if there is another option. By the way, I want everything to be in 1080p. I know that sounds silly, but I didn't pay good money to have less quality.

ASUS N53SV
Intel Core i7-2630QM
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M (1GB)

The monitors/TV screen I'll be hooking it up to:
ASUS VH236H
VIZIO E3D320VX

That you can forget. The max it's going to get you is a dual Monitor setup.
As far as purchasing a GPU is concerned, I do think if I can recollect correctly, some company had comeout with an external GPU casing and GPU for laptops a year or 2 ago. But we haven't heard of them being used on laptops and the kind of results that they give.

You could use Matrox stuff
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/

Or
http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/th2go/displayport/

Then you'd need other stuff like
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815153012&cm_re=usb_video-_-15-153-012-_-Product

Or then some PCMCIA stuff like this
http://www.villagetronic.com/vtbook/index.html

Needs some looking into .

This seems to be your best option as of now.

I apologize for the long response.

I do have a GPU, according to some other stuff I looked up. It says "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family"???
Can someone also explain to me what the difference is between a graphics card and a GPU?

its all good :)

just don't get thrown off if while you are reading on this site how both those phrases "gpu" and "graphics card" are interchangeable when being discussed.
