XFX Radeon 6850 new, not working

I just bought myself an XFX Radeon 6850. I uninstalled all my old graphics drivers then put this new graphics card in. But couldn't get a display out of it, so i plugged in to the onboard VGA port. And when I try and install the new drivers for the graphics card it tells me that the hardware has not been detected. On GPU-Z it thinks I have an Nvidia graphics card in.

  1. did you plug the 2 power cable on the card and you need at least a 500 watts psu http://xfxforce.com/en-gb/Products/Graphics-Cards/AMD/AMD-Radeon-HD-6000/AMD-Radeon-HD-6850.aspx
  2. yes, I am running on a 700w PSU, have just tried re-installing windows aswell. Still nothing. In device manager there is something called co processor but it is unable to get a driver for it. Might be something to do with it?
  3. update your motherboard driver you should have that driver
