Hi Guys,

Need help in deciding the PSU. I'm building my own a new PC. Read a lot in this forum and this forum really is full of information.

I read about the PSU selection guide. Need help in deciding if Corsair CMPSU-600CXV2UK 600 Watts PSU is good for below configuration?

AMD FX -8350
Asus M5A97 mobo
Sapphire HD 7770 1GB Gddr5
120 gb kingstone SDD
1TB Seagate HDD
2x8GB GSKill 1600 Ram

-------------------------------------------
Based on the info given here I think this PSU (600 W, 40 A , 80% efficiency) will not suffice.

Processor : 125 Watt/ 12V = 10.4 Amp
Graphics Card : 450 Watt/ 12V = 37.5 Amp
Other : ~25 Amp
Total = 73 Amp (but the PSU is for 40 Amp)

Guys, is my calculation stupid? I do not have much idea. Please help.

It's stupid in the fact that that GPU isn't 450 watt, more like 70.

That PSU will be fine
