it appears the phone has most of its functionality besides being able to
start up the symbian OS fully...
without a sim, emergency calls work fine.
with a sim, the phone boots up, does the nokia shake hands thing, startup
pic appears, followed by the wallpaper, and default screen, but then it
displays NOKIA again and switches itself off...
formatting the phone using the green+3+star button when powering up
completed fine...
any recommendations?
do you think a re-flash of the phone would fix it (temporarilly at least)

Are you sure it's dried out completely ?
Water damage can cause any number of problems, and often writes the phone
off.

i am looking forward to buy broken/damaged nokia 6600. i don't care
about the condition or damages. even if it is crushed.. all i need is
that it should be really cheap.
