Can SCSI and IDE work together?

I bought a new computer which has a SCSI harddisk and I'm planning to add the IDE harddisk from my old system to this new system. Can they work together? many thanks.

Yes, but ocassionally "it depends"...

Some OEM BIOS like to boot to IDE first, although most mobos can be set to do anything.

They definitely can work together but you have to carefully set it up. If you did not set it up correctly it might not work as you wished. For example, IDE hard drive become the boot drive instead of SCSI hard drive.
