Hello, I've been stuck in a pickle for quite some time, what should I get between the gtx570 or gtx 480, either of them are reasonable good cards in my opinion ,and I can afford both, but should I save some cash , for less power efficiency and loudness?Does the extra-dollar counts for the gtx 570?

More about : gtx 570 gtx 480

Gtx 480 is better and can overclock higher than a 570 and has more V Ram. I would go with the 480 btw its also cheaper!

Should I get an overclocked version of the gtx 570 like the gainward's GLH edition?

I think you should get a gtx 480 IMHO but its your call...

Gtx 570 has 1.2gb V ram, Gtx 480 has 1.5gb V ram. Games take great advantage of V ram when you crank up the settings!

I dont know in my contry the 480 is really quite overpriced, reaching 570 almost, with the difference of 40 dollars.

how much is shipping? And if you don't want to pay for the shipping then just get a Gtx 570.

Anytime, just make sure the store you buy from doesn't rip you off. :)

I'd choose the GTX 570... faster, cooler, quieter and more power efficient. The 480 is dated and while it may be initially cheaper in the long run it'll cost you more $$ via your power bill.

They are both very good the 480 runs hotter my son has one he can play most current games on ultra/max settings we changed the cooler though GELID Solutions GC-VGA02-01 1 Ball, 1 Sleeve VGA Cooler ICY VISION $54.99

If you don't plan on changing the stock cooler or you can't then i would get the 570 i have two and there pretty good.

Go with a gtx 570, you don't want to be 2 generations behind, and besides if you SLI you will have less heat and noise and it will be more efficient.
