Asus Xonar DG vs GA-Z68AP-D3

I just bought the asus sound card and I installed it. I'm using Bose QC3 headphones and the Playstation Pulse headset to play games/listen music on my computer.
Specs wise, is the Asus card better than the default audio in this motherboard? I'm not really sure how you're supposed to read things like ohms/impedance, khz, etc, so I can't tell if there's a substantial (if at all) improvement.
