Hi, Its my first time building a computer and need some help. I'm not too familiar with what parts are good and was wondering if someone could help me out. Thanks.

I got that from another thread and it should do you great. Its generally what I would also recommend. It will even play BF3 on ultra, 1080p.

Edit: saw prices were in canadian $. Should still be available over at newegg though. Also, if you have a microcenter near you, they sell a CPU and mobo combo for dirt cheap.

Then add about $120 USD for fresh Win7 if you need it and a dvd burner

Total build cost including OS and Optical drive = $947 (or $827 w/o OS and dvd).

This build might not have a ninja OC cpu or the top of the line MoBo, but it will get the job done for almost anything you throw at it without the boost from OC'ing.

I think that seems to be a fair price, but if there are alterations that would better suit this build let me know.
