Wireless booster

My Internet comes in the basement.
I have a linksys wireless router but I cannot get Internet signal at the furthest room in the house.
What kind of a wireless booster (maybe an antenna) can I use?
I'm using a Mac.
Thanks

  1. What model of Linksys router are you using? Depending on the model and whether it can accommodate an external antenna, something like this device could help:

  2. or homeplug networking, with homeplug at one end and a homeplug wireless access point at the other end
  3. in a similar situation here.. own a Cisco-Linksys e2000
works great, but family owns 2 houses.. think row homes, but a small alleyway between
signal doesn't reach 'ipads' nextdoor.. should i be getting something like this?

or just look into getting stronger router?

That may work, but you should start a new thread with your own question. Good luck!
