Hey all!

Im building a gaming rig I intend to keep prices as low as possible.

First off I'd like to know 7870 or 560ti? I understand that it makes sense to get the 7870 because it's better, the thing i do not like is the price 329$ CAD. I wanted to know if i should just buy the 560ti for now and have it on sli for later (The MTB is Asrock extreme6) so it has 4 sli slots.

Basically to shorten this up should I buy 1 HD 7870 or Do an Sli on the 560ti?

Thanks :)

The 7870 is awesome. I would get the 7870 now and since the price keeps going down you could get another one in a year for around $250 and crossfire those. If you're in Canada a company called NCIX has open box 7870s for $250 right now.

I bought my cpu today i5 2550k
MTB Asrock extreme6
RAM Kingston Hyper X 8gb
Tower Coolermaster HAF X
OCZ 750w PSU

Also does it matter between 2550k and 2500k?

No, just a slightly higher stock clock and no integrated graphics. But are a non-factor if you are A) Overclocking and B) Using a discrete GPU.

Don't spend $280 on a 7850. The 7870 is $20 more and much faster. The 7850 is worth $200 tops IMO.
