USB port(s) not working

Hello, I have a 6623 HP Pavillion--the USB ports (2) have stopped working. (Now, I have a generic hub plugged into the port in back but I'm getting the same indication in WORD when I go to back up something.)

  1. Try this. Remove the USB port drivers. Shutdown and restart the system. No guarantee but it is something to try.
