No ssd cuz people are way too obsessed with them,

So you'd seriously limit your new computer's full potential by not purchasing an SSD because "people are too obsessed with them"? I'm not sure I follow that logic. :heink: :heink: :heink:

The problem with those pre selected kits is they give you low quality cases and junk power supplies.

For $1K this would be a way better build:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ NCIX)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($31.05 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155...

hi there, this is a simple 1000 dollars gaming build,if ur a first time builder its gonna work just fine for you :

Case - Corsair Carbide 300R
PSU - OCZ ZT get a 550 if you wont SLI/crossfire and a 750 if you will
ODD - Get a random ODD,Asus or Liteon will do
HDD - Western Digital caviar black 7200RPM
Motherboard - ASRock z77 Extreme 4
RAM - kingston hyperx 8gb 1600mhz (look for 1.5 V kit) dual channel
CPU - i5 2500K
CPU cooler - Cooler master hyper evo 212
GPU - MSI GTX 570 Twin Frozr

No ssd cuz people are way too obsessed with them,if you want to pay 100 dollars for 5 secs for windows loading,go ahead. Also if you can spend ( i wound recommend do this) like 150 dollars more, get a 3570k and a 660TI i like products from MSI,but you can choose any.
So good look with your build :)
