So I'm going to build my first computer at the end of the year and I think I have a build. It's about $750, so if you could tell me if I'm missing any components (btw, I have a mouse/keyboard/monitor).

Case: Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

Mobo: ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

PSU: CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

GPU: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card (100314-3L ) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

Case Fan: (Maybe more than 1) Scythe SY1225SL12M 120mm "Slipstream" Case Fan (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you think this will be a semi-good build or if I could upgrade a few parts, I don't think I want to spend over $850. Thanks for any responses.

Okay thanks so much, if you don't mind me asking, why would the Motherboard that I had chosen not work with the CPU? And does everything else look pretty good?

Just look at the name.

ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Your CPU is Intel. Now, do you think they'd be compatible? Looks good, but spend a bit more and get the 7850. It's beast of a GPU and better-performing.
