I use WinXP and tried to install a Hercules Fortissimo and all I get from the speaker is a damn noise? Any suggestions? The drivers seem to install just fine... Are there any new drivers (beta)? Please help, I don't want to go back to using win98se!!

did you use 2000 or 98 drivers?
try using 2000 drivers for xp, but even then you may have to wait for specific xp drivers.

I get the same problem too, sometimes it works normally, sometimes it doesn't.

Posters at the Hercules Audio forum say that they can get the Fortissimo 2 working in WinXP by installing the Cirrus CS4624 reference drivers (for Windows 2000).

Hercules will release new XP drivers for all cards the day that XP is released.
