How to choose a new Ups for my home pc and which company is best ?

Most people don't have or need a UPS. What are you running that you think you might need one?

I've always used the $75-ish APC UPS from Wal-Mart without issue. If you have a RAID array an UPS is a must. If you have an SSD that clears the write cache after a power failure you don't have to have one but not a bad idea regardless.
