I've recently began to look up certain benchmark results, as well as general performance people get when using the 6950 (1gb and 2gb model). I'm really concerned that I'm not getting the most out of my machine.

Here are my specs:

-Intel Core i5 Sandybridge 2500 3.3ghz
-ATI XFX Radeon 6950 2Gb
-8Gb G.Skill Ripjaw X DDR3 1333Mhz Memory
-Asus P8H67 B3 Motherboard
-BFG 4 Rail 650w PSU
-Western Digital 2TB SATA3 6.0GB/s 64mb Cache Hard Drive
-Seagate Barracuda 500GB Unmonitored SATA 3.0GB/s

As you can see, my system should be able to cope with new games fairly well. At the moment, I'm running BF3 on high pre-set, and sometimes drop to below 35fps, usually reaching a max of 70 (indoors on Metro with no players) - I can't run Skyrim on Ultra without getting frequent FPS drops, never managing to maintain 60+ frames.

I decided to do a 3DMark11 Test, These were my results: http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3830891

These were my drivers and clock speeds at the time of the test:http://i.imgur.com/6AJq3.png?1

Even playing a game like Killing Floor for instance, on max settings, I see my frames drop down to 50- when there are a lot of monsters (It's a low demanding DX9 game...) I'm very concerned something is wrong with my machine, if you need me to get any more information, just ask, I really want to get this resolved...

Are you sure? I've seen people getting noticeably better frames/scores then me, even when running the same specs... Perhaps I could try different drivers? Any suggestions?

I don't know what the problem is, but there is one. The one that caught my attention is Skyrim on Ultra. I have the same card as you and I can run Skyrim Ultra at 60 FPS easily, usually more. Never a hint of lag or anything.
