Athlon XP 1800+ @ 1.917, ??c IDLE, 58-63c under load. (STOCK COOLING, ambiant temp : 27c MAX).

NOTE : I don't know at idle, because I run SETI@Home 24/7. I never checked my idle temperature. And I don't care that, because my CPU is never waiting for job to do! :)

PIII 700 at 886mhz (2.05 vcore) 29c idle and 34c full load...

Using a huge passive heatsink from a pII 233 and have mounted a 92mm 50cfm fan on it...

3 386DX-25's...12 volts...glue some ln2 and a wicked amount of overclocking and you get a willamantee minus 36 pins, 33.75 million transistors and a couple hundred mhz...

the thing is huge...no joke 2.5x larger (and hevier) than the stock cooler!

t-bred B 1700+

At 2000MHz at 1.7V
36C idle and 43C Full Load

At 2200MHz at 1.95 V
48C Idle and 63C Full Load

All on stock HSF with 2 case fans - one front Intake and one rear Exhaust. I keep the case open most of the time though that does not seem to have any effect on the temp.

1700+ Palomino, good stepping (like it matters , P.O.S.)

@ 1.7ghz (limited by mobo)

48C idle
55-60C full load

stock cooler with side off case and table fan blowing on because of the summer heat and because the Volcano7 is just toooo damn noisy. unuseable because of the sheer volume of that horrible HSF

2000+ palomino at 140 fsb. 1.8 vcore. I think the temps are a little off but just after getting into windows right after booting its 29c, then about after 10 mins of watchin tv or websurfing its about 32c, after a couple hours of sof2 or ut2k3 its around 35c. These are *fairly* accurate because Im feeling the heastink and it feels cool to the touch, after sof2 a little warm. Case ambient never goes above 26.

yes im running at a 147 fsb, 1.70 vcore. stock 1.75 but sinse teh core isnt near its limit i lowered it to reduce heat by a few degrees.

thers no way to separate the fsb from teh pci bus... so thats why i cant go ablove 147. pissed me off. i was hoping to get up to 166 and lower the multiplyer but ill have to get a new mobo to do that.. ill end up haveinga 2500 barton by then -___-!

Barton 2500+ overclocked to 2.2Ghz (12.5x176) runs at ~39C idle and ~43C after gaming for awhile. The Volcano 9 is loud, but I just crank up the volume until I can't hear it.

its slot 1 smart ass....i could put a 3 foot tall heatsink on the mobo if my case was wide enough...

What's wrong with playing with passive heatsinks...better than active heatsinks IMO...less to go wrong

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP

Processor:
AthlonXP 1700+ (Palomino core)

Speed:
1.1GHz... intentional :)

Temperatures:
Room Temperatures = 27°C - 33°C
Chip Temperatures = 40°C - 42°C
CPU Temperatures (Idle) = 52°C - 55°C
CPU Temperatures (Load) = 57°C - 62°C

The reason my temperatures are that high even when it's running at 1.1GHz, is due mostly to the summer temperatures I get here where I live. But it's also due to the various fans being throttled down for more quiet operation.

I estimate my Coolermaster XDream HSF to be running at maybe 25% to 40% capacity, so thats about 3000RPM to 3500RPM (4800RPM max). And my 2 adjustable Enermax case fans at maybe 75% capacity, about 2500RPM each (max of 3000RPM). All fans are 80mm of course :).

Temperature would have been much much higher too, if I had simply placed my primary intake fan on the lower part of the front. Instead, I ripped open an 80mm hole in two 5.25" bay covers & slapped on my Enermax fan. Temperatures dropped on average by about 5°C after that.
