CPU Mobo upgrade for GTX 560

Hello I was just wonder what CPU and mobo I could get for my new Gigabye GTX560 super overclocked card? The price range is about $250-$300 (low as possible) right now I have a i5 650 and is bottle necking . I'm looking at the Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 it's AM3+ (any good?) so I need a CPU. Help and thanks. Also I'm going to game and edit videos but I don't think I need a 8-core because my i5 is good and is dual core
