Approximate Purchase Date: Within a month or two

Budget Range: $700- $1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming and other less demanding tasks

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com

Location: Iowa

Parts Preferences: Intel, I've heard too many bad things about AMD, but i'm a noob so please don't take me too seriously (lol)

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: no

Your Monitor Resolution: I would like to be as close to 1080p as possible, but a monitor with a lower resolution and good value would also be great.

Additional Comments: I'll be playing BF3 mostly for now. I would like at least High settings. I dont know what to get for a keyboard/mouse right now, so any suggestions would be appreciated (nothing too fancy though). I have a Razer Chimaera 5.1 that i can use for headphones, so i need a mobo with an optical audio out.

And this combo seemed good for the rest of the parts

The total of that comes out at $935.95. Any ways to make it cheaper or better would be awesome! Thanks.

Ahh! thanks! I thought i read somewhere that there wasnt a difference between 6 and 7 series AMD GPUs... LOL i was wrong

great!

The one i have on the list should work, but i would like something not as expensive. its on a sale that will probably end before i order the parts.

The build that Nafon has put together with the 7850 is a better gaming build.
