Nokia 6600 Startup handshake problem

Hi, I've got a problem on my Nokia 6600.

I turn on the phone and it boots up etc, it then has the "nokia handshake"
with the short jingle sound when it performs this, but sometimes it stops
half way into the musical jingle.

I'm on Orange and just after the handshake the Orange logo type screen
appears.

Sometimes it doesn't do it and it plays the jingle all the way but most of
the time it does do it, it's very annoying, any ideas anyone?

Firmware problem, apparently. Mine does the same. Frankly after the
problems I had till recently syncing this phone to a PC, a spluttering
jingle is the least of my worries.

Have you tried changing the settings on the phone, and turning off the
welcome jingle?
I have a 7600, and the path is:

Settings|Phone Settings|Start-Up Tone|Toggle on/off.

Might be worth a try?

You must have some buggy apps. installed on your phone.They clashing for
memory access..It only happens sometimes only because they all getting
loaded differently..Purify your phone(*#7780#) then all will be well..
