Hey All,

I created a thread before and got a ton of replies, but unfortunately I have changed my mind a bit, and I've decided to focus on a more gaming oriented computer...

As an incentive/reward for your help, if I pick the setup you suggest, I will paypal you $10 upon purchasing the computer!

keep in mind, the games i'm most interested in are BF3, PlanetSide 2, Skyrim etc... and I'd love the FPS to be stellar!

so here's the copypasta:

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: 1-2 months

Budget Range: PC: 900-1200 (willing to go over, if it makes me happier!) Monitor: 200-300 If I could get Everything for 1250, that would be super!

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming/Editing/Music/Movies/Surfing

Are you buying a monitor: Yes. I'm going to want a full HD widescreen, with the ability to play older games in 4:3 utilitizing letterboxing so as to maintain the aspect ratio without any distortion

Parts to Upgrade: THE WHOLE DAMN THING!

Do you need to buy OS: YES! Windows 7 ~~ whatever ultimate/home/blah blah blah

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg/Amazon!

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90292

Parts Preferences: I love Intel and NVIDIA!

Overclocking: I'm hoping I won't have to!

SLI or Crossfire: If I can afford it!

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: Cool, quiet, and powerful. Doesn't have to look like a work of art, but, if the budget allows it :) Also, I'll be buying speaker separately so a good soundcard would be grand!

I forgot to add that I was looking for a 256GB SSD to boot from and install games, and a 1+ TB Hard Drive for file storage!

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I want a desktop! I've been without for quite a while, and I want to start enjoying gaming and the like as much as I used to!

So far, from what I've seen, the i5-3570k is the processor to go with, I prefer Nvidia GFX.

I am not too interested in overclocking, so I'm not sure if an i7-3770 would be a better choice than the i5...

Live in Cali then shop Amazon so you don't pay sales tax. This build allows you to add another one of those cards later on in SLI.

+1 i would go with this build i thought you didn't want overclocking and you wanted 256mb SSD though you would be better off with this build and it's always nice to have the overclocking option there you never know you might change your mind in the future ;)
