You don't need a patch and even if you did download it, it more than likely wouldn't do much to help performance.
The only thing you might have to do to get Piledriver to work is update the BIOS IF your motherboard doesn't accept the CPU's right out of the box. I don't know if that is what you were thinking of but that has nothing to do with the patches. The patches were for performance and didn't do much at that.
