As you can see, I am new to the forums and to the world of Hackintosh in general. I am building one mostly for video editing on a $1.5k budget, and I would appreciate it if someone could confirm the compatibility of my selected components and give me any advice they think would be helpful.
Components:
Asus P9X79 Deluxe motherboard
Intel Sandy Bridge i7 3820 (later Ivy Bridge-E)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 ti w/3GB DDR5 overclocked
16GB quad channel DDR3 2133mHz RAM overclocked to 2400 (should I start at 1600 instead?)
Various comptible storage and periphearls
