Somebody recommended it would be more beneficial to my rig during upgrade to sell my current HIS 6950 2gb and purchase a single GTX 670, which not counting time and effort for sales saves me roughly 100-150$ against purchasing another 6950 to go for some crossfire action, any recommendations? If the benefits of crossfire are strong enough Im happy to fork out the extra cash, performance is my goal but the budget for the GPU lies at 300-400$ max. Any replies appreciated, thank you!

Let the Nvidia - ATI battle commence.

get the gtx670, it would match the hd6950 cf in terms of power with much lower power draw and eventually you could add another gtx 670 to your rig which would cream any single gpu set up.

My gtx 670 beats gtx 560 ti sli any day and since hd6950 is similar to gtx 560 ti, i think your choice here is obvious.

I would sell the 6950 and get a EVGA GTX 670 FTW. It's only $400 after $10 rebate on Newegg and it beats a reference GTX 680 out the box. You would still have the extra slot for a future GTX 670 and it would ROFL PWN the 6950 CF. Also, you would have the benefit of using less power for now vs a CF 6950 set up. Plus it looks really nice too. :)

Here is a pic of it in my rig, I also have a GTX 560 Ti for PhysX and I will purchase another GTX 670 FTW soon to SLI.

^^using a gtx 560 ti for physx is a tad overkill. That gpu could shine is someone else's system.

It was from my previous set up, it was laying around and it actually allows me to crank all eye candy in Batman AC and Metro 2033 ;)

This was my previous set up, also note that GTS 450 was from an even more previous GTS 450 SLI set up ;)

I still have my second GTX 560 Ti laying around, I will put it up for sale soon, I already sold the GTS 450 a while back. :)

If you are in the US, from taking a quick glance on Craigslist, I see them selling for around $160 to $190 for the 6950. I think $180 should be fair, you could try $200 and work your way down from there. The 5750, I see them going for about $110.
