Hey all,

First time post from a first-time builder, looking for criticisms!

I'm looking to build a computer that is solid for gaming and all around fast/long lasting for everything else (I'm a graduate student)

Is there anything I should downgrade/upgrade here? Any additions you recommend? Again, any/all criticisms are welcome

i5 3570k Ivybridge CPU $190
ASUS P8Z77-V LK ATX Mobo $90 (w/ purchase of CPU)
Corsair Vengeance 2x4 GB RAM $44
Samsung 830 128 GB SSD $120
Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM HD $75
XFX Radeon 7850 2GB GPU $230
Corsair 650d Case $150
Corsair Enthusiast 650w PSU $90
ASUS VE228H 21.5" Monitor $150

Total: 1200-1300

What do you guys think? Also, I'm up for suggestions when it comes to quiet/durable/midquality keyboards and mice. Thanks for all of your help!

Agreed. Hyper 212 + low pro RAM. GSkill makes nice RAM that I can say 100% that the Ripjaw X does work with the Hyper 212. Also make sure your RAM is 1600-9-9-9

missing a CPU cooler id suggest a COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO $30 ish. Even if you don't plan to OC its still a good idea to get since you have a 3570k unlocked cpu.

rest looks good just make sure to get the Low profile version of that ram.

Kinda odd...generally logitech puts out reall quality stuff like this. I think I have total....4 keyboards, 7 mice, a G-13 Game pad all logitech and there all great. As far as low pro...no real recommendations, although that washable keyboard they are comming out with is like a must have just for the fact I want to put it in the dish washer.
