Best wireless gaming headset and soundcard?

Hello everyone, I've been looking into replacing my current headphones with a wireless gaming headset along with adding a sound card. I have the ASUS Sabertooth Z77 motherboard, not sure if it would suffice for channeling 7.1 surround sound.

I don't know anything about wireless gaming headsets or sound cards. As long as it has decent range without interference, at least 8 hour battery life and solid sound quality I'd be happy. Also the PCB Board on the soundcard has to be black to match the theme of my PC.

My budget is anywhere from $300-$500.

I might just get a wired headset, but it absolutely has to have a threaded cord.
