On the opening screen with the user icons where everyone who uses the
computer can click into their own profiles, there is a notification beneath
the user name of how many emails are unread from any address it recognizes on
your system, including your Hotmail address if you have one. Is it possible
to customize this and tell it which email addresses you want to be notified
about?

Hi,

It is not possible to customize as to which email accounts are shown at the welcome screen with the
unread mail count. By default all email accounts which have been setup under Outlook and Outlook
Express show up. Also, any Hotmail accounts that might have been checked through the web interface
also show up at the welcome screen. These email IDs are stored in the registry at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail

You can delete the email IDs under the above-mentioned registry key which you do not want to show up
at the welcome screen.
