Can i overclock a 2500K?

can i use h61m-ds2? can i at least get to its turbo boost clock speed with this mobo?

I should think so. All that the K version processors do is allow you to raise the turbo on the motherboards that support it, namely P67, Z68 and Z77 motherboards.

You cannot increase the CPU multiplier on that motherboard, so the main aspect of overclocking is ruled out. You can increase the BCLK, but that's not going to get you very far, and it risks creating other problems because it's not just the CPU that runs off the BCLK.

The stock Turbo Boost levels will still be used, of course.
