Hey everybody,
I'm moving to a University and I want to upgrade my gpu and psu so that it will last sufficiently for a while. Knowing that hardware changes rapidly, I will probably not worry about upgrading for the duration of my stay at the university, unless I get the upgrade bug again.

My computer currently consists of

AMD Athlon II X4 640 @3.0GHz
4GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333MHz
750GB WD Black SATA ll
MSI GTS 450 1GB
AMD 770 AM3 motheroard by Biostar
LG Bluray burner
AOE 1920x1080 display

I have had my eye on a 6870,7850 or a 560ti, mostly because nvidia hasn't come out with any cheaper options with the new series. And I will need a quality psu that will meet the power needs, most likely 550 Watt or 600 Watt.

I play games like Vindictus (free MMORPG by Nexon), Crysis 2, Ghostbusters, and Split Second.

Well, I finally made a decision. I wanted something that would last me for some time, so I went with an XFX HD 7850 and a Corsair 600 Watt 80+ PSU. I decided not to get the GTX 570 because of the power usage, I was wanting something that was a bit more conservative and energy efficient. Thank you for the help.
