i use to run 2 6950 2gbs on a stealthXsream 2 700w psu but ended up changing it to just 1 6950 2gb card because i was told i needed more than 700w and it could harm the rest of my components if the psu blew could this really happen. it seemed to run ok when i had 2 but dont wanna ruin my pc so should i just keep with 1 card and 650w to be safe

pc specs
i7 3770
12gb ram
6950 2gb
ocz 128gb ssd
64gb crucial ssd
1tb hitachi hdd
650w ocz zs series also have a 700w ocz stealthxstream2 which i used for crossfire

it worked fine before but as i said i was worried about if one day it would blow because the psu has been under to much strain i dont mind the psu going dead im more worried about the components it takes with it like motherboard etc could this happen? also i dont have anymore money to spend on pc to buy a 750w
