Computer Crashes When Playing Videos

My computer scrash when i play a movie on it.sometime it may goes on dump state.
please solve my issue

We need more info before we can help, such as what player you are using, what file types cause the crash (or it only crashes when playing a DVD/Blu ray), any error messages etc

Try downloading VLC player and use that to play your movie and see if it still crashes.

i am using vlc player version 2.0 and the file type is .mkv ,.avi

By dump state do you mean Bluescreen? and then followed by a restart?

Ok that is a start. Does VLC player work fine with other file types? Have you tried those files in another player?

If you are only getting the error when using VLC player and nothing else, then it sounds like a software problem rather than a hardware problem. Try removing VLC player using add/remove and then do a clean install.
