Got another question for future reference which 120mm and 140mm fans do you guys recommend want something that is quiet but also moves a lot of air already plan on getting 2 200mm megaflow fans for the front intake and top exhaust need ideas for the 120mm exhaust in the back and the 120 or140mm intake I plan to put on the side with a filter.

Can't decide which ram to get or which case here is what I have so far from my old pc which died and will reuse parts budget is from $400 to $500 and plan to use mainly for gaming could use advice on my build anything I can improve while keeping the price in the same range so far this build is slightly above my range by about $30 can't afford to go any higher. Also with the cases and the ram want to know if everything will fit ok and need to make sure I didn't miss anything or mess up any compatibility.

Undecided Parts
Ram - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) or

Crucial Ballistix sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Case - COOLER MASTER HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 Black SECC/ ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case or Rosewill CHALLENGER-U3 Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

MOBO - ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

CPU Cooler - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2

These parts are going to be reused

2 Old HDDs that were 1.2TB in RAID 0

and lastly the DVD-RW.

Ram - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Case - COOLER MASTER HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 Black SECC/ ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
IMO are the best choices

Case = HAF 912 is better choice

Ram = I would get a low profile Ram both the Ram you selected have tall heat sinks and might not fit under that hyper 212...it might but it will be a tight fit if it does.
take a look at these options: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

rest looks good and should fit start saving up for a new GPU after you finish this upgrade and you will have a real nice setup.

Rosewill sucks, so the case choice is a simple one

For the ram... do you prefer Red or Blue? Seriously, those are both great selections. I personally prefer Corsair, but gSkill is easily just as good. As others have mentioned, if you end up getting a large aftermarket cooler then those high ridges on the ram (which do absolutely nothing by the way... purely for looks) can get in the way, but if you are using a 'normal' aftermarket cooler like a hyper 212+/Evo then it will not be a problem.

Rest of the build looks great! Enjoy!

Case best bang for buck HAF 912 is better choice but to dated and plan looking for me lol still between only those two i would go with the HAF 912 as for ram the ones you listed price wise = HELL NO get out of here what that over priced bs how about i suggest just as reliable and cheaper RAM:Crucial Ballistix sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model BLS2KIT4G3D1609DS1S00

RAM:G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C9D-8GAB

@zulug
on a standard mobo layout the Hyper212+ and 212 Evo do not overlap the ram. It is close, but should not be a problem. If it did overlap and run interference then the OP can always use slots 2&4 instead of 1&3 without penalty.

Anything wider/larger than the 212 coolers and there would definitely be an issue.

@bigcyco1 not sure I have the room for the few extra inches on that case and personally I prefer how the haf912 looks and the red leds will match with the PSU and went with the Crucial Ballistix sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) just to save the extra $15
