Budget Range: $1000 - $2000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Borderlands 2... etc;), Browsing Internet

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Probably, unless there is a better place to get parts.

Country: Canada (British Columbia)

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe, if it's worth it

Monitor Resolution: 1440x900, but ill probably buy a 1920x1080 monitor after

Additional Comments: I need to buy an OS as well.

I'm upgrading because I want a PC that can actually handle modern games for once, Here's my current build idea (I know I'm missing the OS, Hard Drive, and Optical Drive, but I think those are all simple enough to add in)

ASUS P8Z77 V-Pro LGA 1155

Intel Core i5 3570K

Corsair Vengeance Blue 2x4GB

Coolermaster Hyper 212

ASUS Radeon HD 7870

Antec Three Hundred Two

  1. Switch out your RAM to this:

The tall heat sinks on your RAM will not make installing that Hyper 212 easy.

And then upgrade your GPU to a Radeon 7950 and you're set.
  2. Hi

I must say your choices are quite good regarding the budget. You should be able to play all new games on fairly high settings with a full hd screen.

    Go for it man.

Get back to us with some pics :-)

  3. this is decent combo. if you arent going to get mir, id suggest a i5 3570k and a gigabyte z77x-up4 combo instead

    great deal on ram

hard drive: because WD blue is the same price as seagate

    stupid price for a gtx680

dvd drive. bought the exact same one. not too loud but louder than the ones ive used given this can write m-disc

    the rest

price match the cooler just to give the ncix hamsters a kick
