20 HDD Bay Media Server

Looking to build a media/file server to stream HD movies (1080p) to 2-3 htpc around the house.
I already have 8 hdd full of media so im looking at this setup excluding buying hdd yet

MB: AsRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155

Ram: Corsair vengeance 8Gb (4gbX2gb) DDR3 1600

CPU: Intel Core I3-2100 3.1GHz

Case: NORCO RPC-4020 4U Rackmount Server Chassis w/ 20 Hot-swappable

PSU: Not really sure what psu is needed if assuming 20hdd in the future

OS: Windows Home Server 2011 64bit

Budget is around $1000-1200 w/o hdd

I just don't know enough about RAID controllers to comment on this. I've been looking into something like this for myself at some point down the road, but that's really a long way off for me.

Not sure that you need to spend over $100 on your motherboard for what amounts to essentially just a media server, but I don't really see anything wrong with your selection.

In my view, I'd be looking for a motherboard to house up to three PCI-Ex1 TV Tuner cards (Ceton InfiniTV4 cards) as well as a PCI-Ex4/8 slot (or x16 rated for x4 slot) for my RAID controller. I'd also be looking at a RAID controller with the RAID hardware onboard, rather than relying on the CPU for it.
