Hardcore Budget Gaming rig

Hi everyone

This is my post, I'm thinking of building a new computer for the first time so I thought it would be a good idea to join Tom's Hardware.

I'd like to build a computer that I can use for a bit of gaming.
The budget:
£300
I can stretch the budget so if I'm being unrealistic please tell me, I want to do it for this low price as a bit of an experiment.

My thoughts are to do an AMD build, since I'm on a budget. This is going to be a PC that I'll upgrade at a later date, so second hand components aren't an issue as they'll probably be replaced.

Thank you a lot for your help.

  1. This would be a good place to start,

    Suggestion was,
Pentium G860, Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V, Western Digital WD5000AAKX 500 GB, 4GB G.Skill RAM, GeForce GTX 560. Which seems reasonable to me.
