GPU overclocking

Hi Guys I'm new to this but I was able to build my own rig, A have an I5-3570k with Cooler Master X6, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, G.Skill Ripjaw 8GB, Cougar 700w 80+, Cougar Evolution Chassis and as a start just bought an Asus GTX 550 ti OC running at 900mhz. I just wanted to know what is the proper setting to OC my GPU using MSI Afterburner 'cause the Asus Smart Doctor can't detect my GPU. Many thanks!

you may not be able to over volt with MSI AB, it dosent support some cards, but if you go into the settings and click unlock voltage, it may unlock

keep pushing till it becomes unstable, then raise the voltage (if applicable) or step back a notch, and try to stay under 80C
