As one of my recent threads that i have posted a $700 max gaming rig for my little brother, i am now making my computer for myself.
Unlike my brother i will be playing more intensive games such as Batman, Skyrim(with mods), and of the sort.
Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: This month(i can really wait if needed)
Budget Range: $2000 with some leverage
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Mostly gaming, Movies, and trying to get a 3D monitor for 3D games
Are you buying a monitor: Yes, because i am giving my little brother a 32" 75Hz monitor, as i said hoping i can get a 3D monitor.
Parts to Upgrade: will be reusing 1TB from my old computer
Do you need to buy OS: No, will be torrenting Win7/8, if anyone knows how to install Win7 to a secondary HDD from a file(not CD) please let me know how.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any site is ok with me, will be going to Newegg for combos, and i have amazon prime for anything else that doesn't have a good combo
Location: San Jose, California.(I kind of wished i did this a month earlier as the Microcenter has shut down near me)
Parts Preferences: will be getting the 670 4gb by Galaxy
Overclocking: Yes
SLI or Crossfire: in the future
Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Additional Comments: Not really anything more i need but, a Non black case, need a modular PSU since my cable management is very bad, will be using about $200 of the budget for Mouse, Keyboard, and Mousepad
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Giving my brother a computer to game with since all his computers just get around 15 FPS on low from low end games. So i have to rebuild mine.
And for the cases i have been looking at, i am wanting to choose between these(also i like maxing out my fans/making all my fans low powered fans for less noise)
