Okay, well here's my current build:

CPU: Phenom II x4 840 (lack of L3 Cache)
GPU: MSI GTX 460 (Old card)
RAM: 8GB
PSU: 600W
Mobo: Biostar A880GZ (no overclocking ability, I believe)

I'm looking to spend about $100.00 in upgrades, and I can get maybe $100-110 for my GPU, and $100-120 for my CPU, so I'm pretty much working with about $300 for a new CPU/GPU.

I know this is the cpu thread, I wasn't sure where to put it. So could anyone tell me any good processors and GPUs for gaming? I've been looking at a Phenom X4 965 and a Radeon HD 7850, but I heard the 965 wasn't too much of an upgrade from the 840. So input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I use this build for gaming.

You can upgrade the GPU but your CPU will be bottlenecking it, so you may wanna get a new cooler so you can overclock your CPU high enough to reduce the bottleneck - otherwise, I would save up to replace the whole thing.
