Desktop won't awaken from sleep

I have this system:

Zoostorm desktop PC with monitor

I put it to sleep last night and tried to waken it with the power button (which was flashing blue). It sounded like it booted up but the monitor wouldn't turn on. I tried again today and this time it just wouldn't come on at all, the light would continue to flash blue until I turned it off at the back. On a third attempt it done the same as the first time.

I have checked the VGA cable and that seems fine.

I ran powercfg but the file won't open in IE or firefox, and is full of HTML in notepad.

Any advice?
