Compatability / Are OC SC editions worth it?

Hi all

Just wanted to check before I make a purchase. I've got a Asus P6T motherboard and an Antec 900 Two case - will a HD7970 work with those? Stuff like PCI-e x18 and bus width etc.

Also, I can get the 7970 for about $490. Is it worth spending $520 up to $560 for some variation of an OC edition? I'm personally not going to overclock the card, but if it comes pre-clocked then that's cool. Thanks!

Really Pre OC'd card are ok. They run faster and still have a warranty. If money is an option, i'd invest in one. However, the lifespan will be shorter but it will last longer than you will ever use it. The card should fit in the case and motherboard as well.
