Help about CPU, motherboard and RAM

I want to upgrade my CPU, motherboard and RAM. My current system is:
-Intel E5300 2.6 GHz
-GTX 550 Ti
-P5G-MX
-2GB DDR2 RAM
Is the i3 much better than G840 mostly in gaming? I can save about 235$ until June and I will upgrade then. Can you suggest me a cpu, motherboard and RAM?

If you have a $235 budget I'd go for this.

Although the RAM I suggested is cheap, it has very good ratings. If you want to save some extra money you can just get 4 GB memory to start out with. To save you some money, instead of recommending an i3, I recommended the Pentium G860. I own the processor and I love what it can do. You can save a lot of money by going Pentium instead of the i3.
