Can the Cd rom drive be replaced in the asus cs5111

I Think the CD Rom Drive in my asus cs5111 is defective does not auto run all the time, and causes erors a sometimes crashes computer,. Can it be replaced, if so with what model or type Thanks for any help

if you can get a new optical drive, and you have some expierence in fixing laptops, you should be fine. Otherwise, find someone who knows a thing or two about fixing a computer.
