Hi all, I'm here to ask a few questions about the switches that come with Cooler Master keyboards. So I currently have a Quickfire Rapid (mx blues), but it's become defective (keys will not respond) so I have to send it back to CM. But there were a few things that I didn't like about the QFR and was planning to get a Storm Trigger keyboard in browns (blues were a bit too loud). I've read many different reviews and watched videos of sound testing/feeling of the different switches. I've even looked at the "Mechanical Keyboard Guide" (http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-g...) and it seems like browns would fit me. But although most people say that browns are basically blues without the loud noise, others say that they feel closer to membranes and it even states on the box of the Storm Trigger that the browns are "medium resistance" while blues are "low resistance". I don't like stiff keys, so I began looking into Cherry MX Red switches. If anybody has a Storm Trigger with browns or reds, can you please compare it to mx blues? I will mainly use the keyboard for gaming, but typing up papers/working will also be a factor. Thanks!
TL;DR - Want to get a new keyboard, mx blues were too loud, choosing between mx reds or browns. Don't like stiff keyboards (membranes), read that browns are lighter than blues, but also read that browns feel like membranes. Says that browns are "medium resistance" while blues have "low resistance" on CM keyboard boxes. Mainly game, but also work. Please help me choose.
