What CPU should i get?

My current one:
Pentium Dual Core G620
GTX 650 OC
H61 mobo (updated bios)

mainly for gaming

My budget is around $240 (australian dollars) Give or take 20 bucks, and i dont mind overclocking - i will if i could.

no seeing as you can't overclock with your cpu or motherboard

your motherboard only supports 2nd gen i3/5/7 and the 3570 is a 3rd gen

I read somewhere that if your bios if updated, it can support the new ivy bridge 3rd gen? is this true?

yes but i believe he bios update is very hard(never had to do it myself)

I already updated my bios the other day in advance for a cpu upgrade, pretty easy.

in bf3(don't know if you play it)the pentium lets say gets 35 fps.if you put in the 3470 then the fps will be close to 45 fps

this doesn't include a set gpu it is just telling you the difference between the pentium and i5

i don't know if everything is sorted but i have AMD A10 5600k and it's working fine with my gtx 650

Sorry LOl i meant to say the Radeon 6670 and sorry for new post but can't edit that message i don't know if everything is sorted but i have AMD A10 5600k and it's working fine with my AMD 6670 but i don't know if a nvidia card would work with that and also the Card has its own Powerfull Integrated graphics card that can run BF3 on Medium with 30-40FPS

Can anyone help me, see my friend wants to upgrade his pc so it can play games, he currently has an amd athlon ii x2 procesor, so i said to get the amd fx 4170, get a 500 watt psu and to get a, sapphire 7750 radeon gpu, would this be compatible and would it work well for games like cod bf3 and skyrim?

Depending on the workload it could be substantial all the way to non-existent, but it is a upgrade.

If you PC is mainly used for gaming, you won't notice a huge difference in most games, but in the ones that you do see a difference it can be up to 50%.
