More about first build doing
  1. how will this perform?
  2. i just went and tried to build one but not knowing what i'm doing im not sure if i did anything good.
    my build is:

I didn't find a hard drive and i figured that a a optical drive isn't needed because most everything can be put onto a usb and uploaded.
  3. You won't get that done for under 500, your stated limit. You still need an operating system as well as a hard drive, and you need to read the PSU guide linked in my sig before you start picking them on your own.

The build I gave you is the best possible for the budget. It is completely upgradeable.
  4. if i used your build how would it perform? not asking for any benchmarks but capability of game playing any setting. graphics quality doesn not bother me.

Sure, it will play any game at all. Large maps with lots of units in some strategy games may be a challenge due to CPU limitations.

This is with a very expensive GPU

You won't be running it on Ultra, but the point here is that the CPU CAN RUN IT. here is a video. Same video card but weaker CPU
