My daughter has this and loves it. A bit less than your budget but I have seen no issues with build quality or compatibility.

I don't see anything wrong with any of your choices.

Thanks for your suggestion I actually used to have one broke after a while. I might just go with the highest rated headset.

i can recommend the gamecom 780, just incredible sound quality especially in games like bf3 :)  the sound when gaming is nearly as good as my £700 hi-fi, much better than the £120 turtle beach headset my friend has

I personally have several steel series headsets, I would go with anything in the H series. The 5Hv2's are by far the most comfortable headset I've ever owned and are GREAT for gaming.

Steelseries Siberia v2

- "While there may be a better, possibly more expensive stereo headset out there, I have yet to find it"

- "In terms of sound quality, we thought the original Siberia was one of the best sounding headsets out there at the time. The V2 only serves to strengthen this position, with some truly impressive audio across test media."

- "Overall for music listening the SteelSeries Siberia V2 is one of our favorites both in terms of sound quality and also the way the headset feels after long sessions of use. We must say in all honesty that this is one of the most comfortable headsets going around."

I own these myself. The sound quality is impressive. They feel nice to wear and completely shuts off any sounds, but from your games, what I mean is you can't hear anything except the sound of the headset. They Isolate your ears so much, that you only will focus on the game you're playing or the music you're listening to.

It gives you an huge advantage in games, where it means a lot, to hear the sounds of every move your enemy makes.
