Gpu does not reconnect to my tv once i turn it off and back on

Alright, so i have a GTX 680 and a panasonic TV. Everything works great at first but once i turn my tv off and then back on nothing is displayed intill i unplug the HDMI and plug it back in. Does anyone have any idea how to get the card or tv to communicate?

see if there a menu option on the tv. most monitors look for a vga signal when the bios loads. this tells the monitor to turn on an start to synk with the video card. if your tv not doing that or the video card is set to high of a rez it may not sync when it first turned on. also check in the nvidia control pannel that you have the tv /hdmi as the first output.

To add to what smorizio recommends, check in your video card driver settings if there is an option to automatically detect new displays, or force redetection.

I've gone through the nvidia control panel and I could not find a option to set the hdmi as the first output or to detect new displays. Also I have the latest drivers.

can you post the model of your tv...so we can look at the set up guild for it and it spec.
