Since you're not going to be using the computer for any intensive work, I say go ahead and get a new MB now

Haswell is almost a year away.

I have an older i7-860 CPU paired with a new GTX680 and I'm not really bottlenecked in any games. I can run most at the highest quality at 60FPS.

Haswell would provide a very small performance improvement which wouldn't even be noticeable in any games anyway.

If you're gaming, I advise getting an 1155/Z77 motherboard and an i5-3570K Intel CPU.
