[New Build] Keyboard and mouse stop working when installing windows

As the title says,When I get to the "Install Windows" screen when booting from my dvd drive, my keyboard and mouse stop working and I can't continue.
Both my keyboard and mouse work consistently when navigating my BIOS menus. When I choose to install windows, they stop.
If I unplug and plug my keyboard back in, the lights come back on, but it still doesn't function.


Anyone encounter anything similar?

if there wireless keyboard then it common what happing is the mb bios is handing off usb control to the os but the os has not loaded the drivers needed fro your usb set up. i would start by seeing that the mb bios is up to date a lot of them have cpu and usb updates. i would check in the bios if there anything under usb handoff.

It's both a wired keyboard and mouse. I checked the BIOS, and legacy mode is enabled. I may update my bios and try again.
