Grapics card

I trying to build a new pc it my first I trying to figure out what graphics card I can use to battlefield 3. I have decide to use a amd processor because of the price. I was wondering if I could us a nvidia grapics card on a amd motherboard and processor. If yes what grapics card should I use and prices is important. I most likely going to get one of the amd fx 4170 or amd fx 8120. I weclome any imput on parts or basic anything about build a new pc for a low price. I really want to play battlefield on least medium setting with no lag. Thanks

If you are wasting money on those weird cpu's why not to get the best AMD 965BE chip it is best for gaming.
